Regularly used in place of both sand (known to cause Silicosis) and dusty, poorly sized coal slag.
Crystalline silica levels are less than 1% - the dust created is ‘white,’ allowing for increased visibility and therefore promoting increased production. Produces a more natural, whiter metal finish than many other abrasives.
20-40 mesh (Profile 2.0-3.0 mil.) used for mill scale, heavy rust, ship hauls, water tanks, thick coatings.
40-70 mesh (Profile 1.0-2.0 mil.) for aluminum, stainless, log homes, general auto body, light mill scale and rust.
60-140 mesh (Profile 0.0-0.1mil) for low profiles, delicate parts, antiques, car restoration – can even take the paint off a soda can without warping!
Specs: Made from 100% post-consumer recycled glass that is crushed, cleaned, sized and packaged to provide the ideal blast media. Angular shape cuts through surfaces yet is lightweight enough to clean without damaging underlying material. Non-metallic and chemically inert so it will not contaminate stainless steel or aluminum and can be used near and around water.
Availability: In 50# bags or 3000# supersacks.
